The four-hour window

The thing nobody tells you.

Your newborn has zero interest in a photographer's timeline. So I plan for it.

Every newborn session is a four-hour window in your home. That's about an hour of photographs, wrapped in all the time we need for feeding, changing, soothing, and the ceremonial third outfit change.

That window is the difference between photos of a baby and photos of your first days as this family: the nursery you obsessed over, the dog who has to be in one, the way you look at each other over a very small head.

Babies run this operation. I just work here.

Forty minutes of this session was a feeding break. That's the point.

Why families choose me

Calm is the whole product.

Never rushed.

Four hours means a forty-minute feed is a pause, not a crisis. We have all the time in the world, and we use it.

In your home.

No packing a newborn into a car seat and no sterile backdrop. Just window light, your actual nursery, and the house where this is all happening.

Twelve years, same families.

Babies I photographed years ago now book fall sessions with me every year. I've watched them learn to walk.

How it works

Four steps, and only one is your job.

Reach out in your second trimester

Earlier is better. Send your due date and I'll tell you what's open.

I hold your window, not a date

You're not booking a Tuesday. You're booking me for the two weeks after your baby arrives. A short agreement and a retainer lock it in.

Baby arrives, text me

We pick the real day together, usually within the first two weeks. No fee, whenever it lands.

I come to you

You don't need to clean or plan. Wear something soft and let me do the rest.

Asked often

Questions.

When should I book?

Second trimester is ideal, and earlier is never wrong. I take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so every family gets the full four-hour window.

What if the birth doesn't go to plan?

Then we move the session, and there's never a fee. Early, late, an unexpected hospital stay: none of it is a problem.

How old should my baby be?

The first two weeks are ideal, when newborns are sleepiest. But I photograph babies at three weeks, six weeks, and beyond, and those sessions are beautiful too.

Do I need to clean my house?

No. I photograph real homes, not sets. I shoot toward the light and away from the laundry, and one window is all we need.

Can siblings and grandparents be in the photos?

Please. Everyone who lives there belongs in these, and grandparents who've flown in count. We photograph siblings first, while their patience is still intact.

What if my baby won't settle?

Then we wait. That's what four hours is for.

When do we get our photos?

Your full gallery arrives within two weeks, every image finished by hand.

You'll never regret these.

Send me your due date and I'll hold your window. In-home newborn sessions across Los Angeles, $1,450.
